January 30, 2024 – Rochester, NY – Eastview announces several exciting additions and updates to the property. After another successful Holiday Season, Eastview Mall continues to provide new merchants, and new amenities to shoppers. Stores MINISO, Flamingo Patio, and Barnes & Noble join the tenant mix, along with re-branded So Chill Creamery; Eastview also announces the relocation of merchants Build-A-Bear and Go Calendars; additional EV charging stations are now online.
Late last year, MINISO opened in the JCPenney Wing between Tilly’s and Aeropostale. Occupying 3,453 square feet of retail space, the affordable variety store MINISO offers household goods, cosmetics, stationery, toys, and kitchenware – through both collaborations and original designs; many available under brands like Disney, Marvel, Toy Story, and more.
Flamingo Patio only Rochester location is slated to open in the coming weeks. Located in the Von Maur Wing, the new 4,048 square foot store features high-end outdoor patio furniture made from wicker and aluminum. As a locally owned business, Flamingo Patio currently has a store in Buffalo and offers everything from tables, chairs, and chaise lounges, to swings and bar sets.
Previously announced Barnes & Noble continues to make progress as construction ramps up. Located just inside Entrance 2, between Williams Sonoma and Pottery Barn, the new 8,029 square foot Barnes & Noble is based off their newest store model – the majority focus on books, while also offering a selection of magazines, gifts, stationary, newspapers, educational toys, and more. The anticipated opening of the new Barnes & Noble is in Spring 2024.
Additional tenant news includes the relocation of family favorite Build-A-Bear. The new 1,473 square foot store is just two doors down from their former location and remains in the Dick’s House of Sport Wing. While a smaller footprint, Build-A-Bear still features the creation and customization of stuffed animals including apparel and accessories. The new location is slated to open in February 2024. Specialty Retailer Go! Calendars, Games, and Toys is relocating to Main Court, and will re-open between LEGO and Aéropostale.
With new ownership, and a re-branding, So Chill Creamery is now open in Cross Court at the former 404 square foot Marble Slab. Local family owned So Chill Creamery serves a variety of homemade ice cream; sweet treat enthusiasts can create their own ice creams and milkshakes with endless toppings.
Shoppers with electric vehicles can now utilize Eastview’s newest amenity – level 2 EV charging stations. Newly online and operated by Livingston Energy Group, these twenty charge ports have a 7.6kW capacity, a cost of $0.30 per kilowatt hour, and simply require the driver to download their app for access to charge. EV drivers can find the Livingston Charge Ports on the eastern side of the property, in the parking lot between Macy’s, P.F. Chang’s and Route 96, next to the Tesla charging stations.
“We are happy to announce these new additions to Eastview, and to welcome these new merchants and amenities to the property. Providing our Eastview Guests with an excellent shopping experience is so important to us; enhancing our tenant mix – and available amenities – helps us do that.” said Eastview General Manager, Mike Kauffman.
